Music Classes at Filix School of Education
Music has always been an integral part of learning at Filix School of Education, and our regular music classes continue to nurture this spirit among our students. These classes are conducted with a strong focus on Hindustani classical music, which forms the foundation of all musical learning. Through regular practice, students are introduced to basic ragas, rhythm and voice culture in a simple and age-appropriate manner.
Along with classical training, children also learn folk songs, light music and semi-classical songs, helping them get inspired and appreciate the richness and variety of Indian music. The sessions are lively and engaging, allowing students to express themselves freely while learning discipline through rhythm and melody.
Students are also given hands-on exposure to musical instruments such as the harmonium, tabla, and guitar. This practical experience builds confidence, coordination, and a deeper understanding of music.
These music classes have proved to be a fruitful and meaningful co-curricular activity.
