Nanritam, founded in 2004 in Barandanga, Purulia, by a group of likeminded professionals inspired by Swami Lokeswaranandaji Maharaj of the Ramakrishna Order, began its journey with rural eye care camps. Over the years, it has evolved into a multifaceted organization leading several impactful initiatives. The Lokeswarananda Eye Foundation is a 100-bedded super-speciality eye hospital dedicated to serving the underserved. The Filix School of Education offers world-class education to children from remote and disadvantaged communities. Through the Nanritam Krishi Kendra, the organization promotes sustainable farming practices and supports rural livelihoods. The Education for All program provides community-based learning opportunities for individuals across age groups. Additionally, The Hope Project focuses on ensuring nutrition and education for children of the Sabar tribe, one of the most marginalized communities.
